Sorry, its all in your head unless your car is tuned for 93.

Nah I just got it this weekend, and I'm guessing the dealer filled it with some 80 octane bs... I really did feel it.

Sounds legit to me. If low-octane bongwater was in there, the car would pull timing. Put real gas in and once the car senses it, it'll add that timing back in and the car should pick up power.

in previous cars that didn't require premium, i had bought them with crap gas and switched it over to premium, not only does it get a little more ballsy but it tends to run nicer, smoother.

also if in fact their was **** gas in the tank id recommend grabbing some injector cleaner and dumping that in on your next fill up.

Ah, well that changes things slightly. I assumed you were talking about going from 91 to 93.

However, our cars are tuned for 91 from the factory. A higher octane will not increase performance unless you're tuned for it.

I dont think our cars are "tuned" for 91 from the factory, our cars may accept 91 from time to time but regularly using 91 I'm sure will do no good.

If the manual says use premium then use premium.

They define premium as being 91, since in some states that is the highest octane available.
