Why are you using a capacitor? Did you have problems without it or did you put it in for the heck of it? Capacitors shouldn't generally be used unless the problem is minor - people use them to try and cover up the issue of their alternators being too small.

I had it in my last car, I'm running 2 ppi amps 2x880 and 4x440, my alternator was VERY small in my last car and it stoped the power drops in the electrical system, honestly I think the cap is cooked anyway, but Im drawing well over 1000 watts and I know i "should" have one

i grounded to the latch that holds the floor mat down in the trunk. i don't get any noise at all but pounding bass. i remember when i first installed my woofers, i was a noobi, i laid the power and RCA cables next to each other and got terrible alternator noise. if you've tried grounding at several different places but still get noise, i don't think the problem is with grounding. you could try a ground loop isolator though
