Or you could do what I did and may be getting a little more out of a K04.

It's now a K04-23 (TT225 K04) but higher spec and I hopping for around 270bhp minimum with the rest of the hardware but time will tell.

Just a little facts: the K04-23 TT turbo with just a remap will produce around 280-285bhp with no other mods.

Well after buying a Dead K04-15 from Canada for $200 I now have a rebuilt Hybrid K04-15 SP51 nickname Outlaw.

And here she is

Plan are to fit her in two weeks time before I go on holiday (finger crossed) and then when I get back to install my secondhand Stage III southbends Clutch ($100) providing I sort out a single mass flywheel.

Once this is done custon Exhaust will be on the cards before a Remap.

I have big hopes for the turbo so we will see how it goes.

The K04-023 has approximately 3mm larger inducer compared to the K04-015 sharing the same exducer.
In addition this upgrade includes the over-sized SP51X compressor wheel, updated Bearing Housing with "twin-feed" oil channels.

The ko4-20 is a much better turbo than the ko4-15. Both the compressor and turbine wheels are larger and will produce more power. However it will require some custom work since i dont know why people dont make a kit for it.

now before you say that the k04 isnt an upgrade worth the money, i agree with you. IF! your turbo works fine. since i am replacing my turbo anyway, why not get a k04 and tuning and such for a little more.
having to upgrade injectors, tuning, and spend more for the turbo is more cost than i would do for the small gain. I would just spend the $150 or so for a used ko3s and save the rest up for the BT you want.

If you are going to buy a Hammer file you will need all the supporting mods you would need for a BT like a FMIC, high flowing exhaust and a good clutch. Dont expect all that much hp gains, but you will notice some nice tq gains with the Hammer file. But for about$600 more you can buy a GTRS elim kit that will make more power to the wheels(270whp on pump gas) then the K04 can make at the crank(250chp).

I offer a GTRS elim kit for 2001+ with revo tuning and 550cc injectors for $2549 shipped(48 states), the K04 kits for the 2000-2001 sell for $1899 + shipping.

for that cost, you are using the stock manifold

If you are low on cash, call up Gerry at gpopshop.com and ask them how much they will rebuild your k03 for.

Here you go

Yes that is using the stock manifold you still have, but I do offer the high flow manifold as an option.
