Default Power Steering leak from rack/inner tierod?

hey guys.. of course i finally get my dream audi, and 5 days after i get it, something goes wrong haha.. i knew it was coming but was just hoping it would hold off for a while so i could enjoy my new ride.. well anyway.. i put it up on a friends lift, and started the car and turned the wheel.. and on the drivers side, where the steering rack connects to the tie rod, inside that boot, that keeps it all covered up, there is a hole in the boot, and when i turn it shoots PS fluid out all over the place. basically what im wondering.. is if there is a seal on the steering rack that could be replaced/if there could be a problem where the inner tie rod connects to the rack/do i need an entier new rack? i know if the seals are gone inside of the rack then yea ill need a new one.. but there is no clunking coming from the rack or tie rods when i drive..

i got a bad feeling [sm=bustedsign.gif]

i called Fast Addiction, in Castleton like 25 mins from my house where they APR tune and stuff.. only work on VWs and Audis.. and i got their voicemail so i left a detailed message..

just wondering what you guys think?

i havnt pulled the boot off yet to look on the inside just because i dont have the parts to fix it yet, and didnt wanna take stuff off without getting any ideas first

well.. finally got ahold of that shop, and they said it definatley was a seal which is part of the steering rack.. so i need a new one.. called shokan parts (awesome) and i can get it for 285 plus shipping.. instead of like 570-670 on varying sites and parts stores..

guess i know what i gotta do!

Not bad at all price wise imo. Depending on the condition may want to do other suspension maintenance now like control arms and tie rods...
