Turns out that the guy was trying to give me cast pistons. SO im going to look into mahle and je, mahle preferably, but ive read somewhere that they may have to be made, and it could be a month, that cant happen. I also ran into a post on vortex talking about how je's suck oil, and are poor quality. I doubt they are that bad, probably just bad rings for those guys, but im going to look at mahle first if i can find some .50

I dont have the money to buy a new crank and then worry about all the fueling issues etc that come with haveing a 2 liter instead of a 1.8.

The guy on vortex was full of ****. It was bad rings. As from stroking the engine, you need to have the pin moved up in the piston to account for the extra stroke. These are custom pistons.

Ok, well im not doing a 2.0, but i do need pistons, can anyone point me in the right direction?

The link i posted before is for je's but the oversize is in .2 incraments, so i guess im looking at special ordering? Then thats another month? or do i buy .6s and have the guy bore it out a bit more?

you should be able to get .5 over. its a very common overbore. i would contact Mike Hood over at audizine, or Issam over at Vortex. They both have the hookups when it comes to parts like these and will point you in the right direction if they don't sell you them themselves.

Ok so I talked to Mike over at zine, he said talk to Immam or w/e the guy from vortex or try http://www.qedpower.com/
Finally i have a good site to look at for pistons! My questions is, I need 9.5:1 Compression for my 2000 right?

Also, stock is 81mm? The guy bored out my cylinders .5, so ill need 81.5mm pistons correct?

The AEB pistons are mahles?

Stock is 81mm 9.5:1c/r (all 1.8t's are but the 225TT)
- you can run w/e c/r you want. If you plan onanything larger than a 28r family turbo, 9:1 down to 8:1 can be used. Im running 9.25:1
All stock pistons are Mahle
You do need 81.5mm

I got my rods from Bob Q @ qedpower. He is a great guy and very knowledgeable
