Picture Request-a4 on polished a8 monobloacks

Funny you mentioned it.
What ever happened to the OG B5'ers? We used to have some fanatic B5'ers just couple years back.

sorry i really don't think that chrome "wheels/rims" belong on audi's or well any car for that matter. the only exception to that is if your running some sweet BBS, or race looking wheels but even that for me is pushing it. though i do like the sweet drop that the car is sitting on.

technically they are polished which is technically not chrome, but the difference between polished and Chrome is minimal when you are just looking at them in a picture.

Ya honestly a true polish vs chrome looks pretty much the same difference is that chrome is plated on. I'd take polished any day but I'm not a fan of a full polished or chrome rim on an Audi I don't mind it when its a polished lip on a rim that looks hot.

The other big difference is durability. Chrome, being a plating, can be irreparably ruined if chipped or marred (short of replating the whole wheel). It's a finish applied to the metal. Polishing is a finish created out of the metal itself and as such it is both more durable and more easily repaired. Scratch it and you can resmooth the damaged part of the metal to fix it. With that in mind, a set of wheels subjected to daily road conditions are probably better off being polished if it's going to be a choice of one of the two.
