I just drove 50 miles mostly highway to and from the track open downpipe. No codes, but my mpgs were pretty crappy

i drove way past 50 miles before it came on....not saying it something to do with that.....but it weird how they codes all of a sutton came on while the exhaust leak is there...specially right after the 02 sensors.

i'm going to fix the leak and clear the codes and let you all know what happens.

thanks.

Will any of the above codes/issues harm the car if I drive it temporarily like it is?
I burned my hand and am unable to fix the leak.....Drove it today and it idled/drove fine. Besides the noice exhaust everything seemed fine.

If you are misfiring or running rich, it could prematurely kill the cats

I too had similar codes...PO411 and PO441. I have cleared them once but they just came back on.

I also have an issue where if I fill the car with gas when its on Empty, it won't start right away and it takes a few tries and then ruins a little rough. I did some research and it sounds like the N80 valve.

I'm wondering if the codes are for the N80 valve...is that possible? One other thing I think is worth mentioning, I just bought this thing from a dealer. I assume they tried to get the car running temporarily because I found tar all over the exhaust and some of the vacuum lines (to stop leaks).

I would love to stop the check engine light from coming on but I would love to know what you guys think is causing those codes. I understand that it COULD be any of those...but what do you think? No, I don't have a vag-com and I would rather replace every part that could have an issue than go to someone and pay 100+ for a computer reading

Probably would be best to start your own thread with your car's info. P04xx codes are generally caused by vacuum leaks in our cars. N80 is a more common failure, which can contribute to both of your codes. Best option is to test the N80 with 12V to see if it clicks. Then take a vacuum pump to it to see if it holds. Check all surrounding small vacuum lines.
