Osram 65w Rallye" H7 lowbeams
So my two-piece headlights are garbage, and I was considering getting one-piece HIDs for a while.
Ultimately I didn't feel like putting another ~$200 into parts and rewiring and losing my fog lights unless I retrofitted some facelift fogs and grills and doing more wiring.
I picked up some Osram overwattage "rallye" H7's for $15 on ebay, and they work great. Huge improvement.
These bulbs run at 10 watts over the typical 55w rating.
Has anyone used these for an extended period of time? The headlight lenses get very hot, especially with the integrated fog bulbs on at the same time.

I've run them for about 2 1/2 years in my 99.5 with the one piece headlights. No problems, and you're right....far more light. I never ran them in my 96 with the two piece lights though, so can't say for sure about that.
