Default Only one vacuum line to IM?

After seeing everyone seaform their cars, I decided to do the same to mine. I was going to feed the treatment through the front(nearest bumper). When I got to doing it I saw that that spot was plugged up.. literally. There wasnt line coming off it, just some kind of "plug" that has sealant to plug it..So i went ahead and fed the seafoam to the back line. Now im starting to think if there is any problems having that blocked off. I read that it was suppose to go to my DV, Now im curious what is connected to it.. Is there some other way of redirecting these lines that the pre-owner must have done? or am i looking into alot of work?

I think I know which one you're talking about, but could ya snap a pic just to be sure? On my mani, that line comes off the mani and i've got a T in it for my boost gauge, then the other side of the T loops around under the mani and goes into some kinda sensor thing. I'll see if i can get a pic of it today at some point.

Just sounds like the person that owned the car before you just plugged it because they broke the nipple and didn't want to buy a new intake manifold.

Yeah, the one on the front goes to the DV. I'm really curious how the thing runs without it...

They most likely just ran the DV vac line to another nipple on the IM.

Well here is a picture of it, its right above the radi. hose. I think Mike is right about the nipple broken off as thats what it looks like from the picture. I was wondering if it being blocked off will cause any problems even if the DV is running to the other nipple on the IM? My car is running but it never ran 100%, I cannot fully accel without studdering, so i've been trying to figure out the problem

That sure looks like a rivet that has been shoved into the hole with something to hold it in place.

Your shuddering under hard acceleration could be something else altogether. Is your CEL on, or flash when shuddering? If so, scan for codes, most like a bad coil pack or spark plugs...

Thats what it is! A rivet! lol that was bothering me too, couldnt get the name of it never had to really use them. But as far the that goes. Am I losing any gains by have the DV go into the top ?
