Default One-piece headlights, '98 A4

A few months ago my passenger side corner lens FELL OUT and shattered all over the road. Ever since then I have been driving without it. I decided I should take this opportunity to update with a set of one-piece headlights, but I don't know where to get them. I've been looking at some on ebay for about $130 shipped, but I am concerned about the quality. Any suggestions?

i know there are some people on this forum who have gotten 1-piece headlights from ebay, and i believe they are happy with them, but just keep in mind that you probably wont be able to run HIDs in them because they might melt the housings (at least the angel eye ones)... there are some two piece projectors though that i think upstateny and sineo have that they have gotten from ebay and are both pretty happy with them (if you aren't, chime in lol)... if you do one piece you will have to do a little modification to your fender, but nothing major at all

I love 'em - they're two-piece Depo lights (aka RS4s) bought from MakotoAutoTrends on eBay for about $148 shipped. They handle HIDs very well and are direct plug and play. Click the link to check my photo album - I have a few pics in there of them installed in my car.

Here's a quick corner pic I took the other day - these are the two-piece Depo lights that require no modification to get. I have the chrome housings, but they also have black housing Depos available (sineo has these and they look good). Here's mine:

I got mine from a Idiot that was "upgrading" his stock one-pc off a 2000 to black housings with angel eye's. I paid him $300 shipped for both headlights and updated tail lights. Got $120 for my old tails. So I think I got a fairly good deal. Just have to keep your eye's open on ebay and the classifieds here and over at AZ

ebay. get the OEM facelift lights. DONT get any ideas about blacking them out, trust me i did mine and it made me hate my life for a week.
go to harbor freight tools, get a cutoff wheel. 4". $25. get 10 wheels, dont use the one that comes with it, thats a grinder.. youll need that to smooth the surface though.. cut those friggin fenders, its fun if your not a tard. you dont need a reciprocating saw (SAWZALL!).. dont believe what they say.
read tutorials! any questions ask me and if so i will actually address you in a serious and detailed regard.

almost forgot DONT GET THE BLACK HALO PROJECTORS. the fitment isnt that good. if you want mine we can arrange $100 shipped, $50 less than what you pay on ebay.
oh and dude. GET THE VVME KIT! its amazing. get the ones a step below 6000k, 6000k is what i have, they are a little rice. the step below that (4700k?) is what most high end manufacturers are using these days OEM.
if you decide for some reason to go with black halo projectors and VVME, make sure you order H1 bulbs.
if you cant tell i found EVERYTHING out the hard way.

I was just reading through here and I am also doing the HID upgrade for Christmas. I ordered the 6000K VVME kit with the H7 bulbs. I am also going to get these one piece. I know Helix is just the new Depot but will the H7 fit these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUDI-...Q5fAccessories
According to the info it says H7 bulbs. Also do you have any pics of your 6K kit from VVME? Were they pretty easy to install? Thanks in advance.

i don't have any pics, but they were very easy to install... basically just have to find a place to mount the ballasts and your set... 6K is good too... not too blue

Agreed with CL AUDI EOUS completely. Very easy to install and the 6000k looks great. Look at my sig and my photo album for pics. If you want more pics, PM me with an email address and I'll send you some more.
