Oil type

I have just bought a 1998 A4 2.5 TDI. I did not realize not for the USA. What kind of oil does the engine use. Where can I get parts like oil filters.

Where are you located? Gonna be really tough to get parts for that in the US

any 5w-40 that meets audis specs is fine. i believe some companies make a diesel oil?
