Im in the middle of TB job, and I found oil in the spark plug wells 5 out of 6!!! well was full of oil, covering the boot. Vlave cover gasket leaking also.
How is that possible? I just replaced "Valve cover gaskets with Blau kit 1year ago(8k)"

Suction pump - was replaced 3years ago(~27k)
Breather hose - never been replaced but when I checked it was clean no cracks.

1)Im wondering is it possible that I installed gasket by the spark plug well upside down, or something? 5 out of 6!!! wells was full of oil!

2)Do I need to use any Sealant on Valve cover/spark plug gasket?(last time I didnt)


Car: 99.5 2.8 V6 30V Auto, 95k miles.

it is possible that you put the inside spark plug gasket upside down. the kit i got the one side had a straight edge and i believe it faces down.

i have been having a hard time with my gaskets sealing to. i changed the gaskets when i first noticed oil in my spark plug wells. i got it out of the wells and its now leaking out onto the exhaust manifold.

i am changing the breather hose now on my car thinking it maybe clogged which it was i will let you know what happens when done.

 

Yeah, clogged hoses can cause higher pressure inside the engine and make oil leak past seals that it shouldn't leak past. One common clog is in the vacuum booster/suction pump thing.
