Default Oil over flow

AUDI A4 2.8

I totatly did a dumb thing while changing my trans oil and motor oil at the same time.
I drained the trans oil filled and what not. and thought i had drianed the motor oil. I added motor oil to the engind that already had oil. then drove for a half mile till it hit me that i never drained it. so now i have this whine noise coming from the driver side of the engine. where did all this oil go? and how can i get it out? any suggestion? or am i screwed.

Drain it ASAP and get it filled to the right amount. It could blow out your seals.

the whine noise is and empty trans. try putting in some lucas tranny oil in there, its a bit thicker and may help revive the bearings and gears. as for the engine oil i assume you already know to drain it.

yea dude sux, park it asap and like stated above pour in the right amounts in the right places...

and if you can get a hold of redline MT-90 that would be best for your tranny...

Thanks, so that whine noise you say is the tranny not the engine? i thought i filled the tranny to max. i filled till it flowed out drove around the block then filled agian. i did that four times. i will check agian.

You guys have any suggestion on thermastats that goes form cold to normal and then cold agian for the entire drive. then wont move i had this problem before my timing belt changed w/ pump and all from the stealership. but its the same agian. i thought is was the stat that was stuck on open...any idea?

Thanks again

I think the best thing YOU could do is let a mechanic work on your car from now on lol

Is it an auto or stick?

You'll need a VAGcom to read the trans temp to fill your auto/tip trans properly.
