Oil over flow
AUDI A4 2.8
I totatly did a dumb thing while changing my trans oil and motor oil at the same time.
I drained the trans oil filled and what not. and thought i had drianed the motor oil. I added motor oil to the engind that already had oil. then drove for a half mile till it hit me that i never drained it. so now i have this whine noise coming from the driver side of the engine. where did all this oil go? and how can i get it out? any suggestion? or am i screwed.

the whine noise is and empty trans. try putting in some lucas tranny oil in there, its a bit thicker and may help revive the bearings and gears. as for the engine oil i assume you already know to drain it.

Thanks, so that whine noise you say is the tranny not the engine? i thought i filled the tranny to max. i filled till it flowed out drove around the block then filled agian. i did that four times. i will check agian.
You guys have any suggestion on thermastats that goes form cold to normal and then cold agian for the entire drive. then wont move i had this problem before my timing belt changed w/ pump and all from the stealership. but its the same agian. i thought is was the stat that was stuck on open...any idea?
Thanks again

You'll need a VAGcom to read the trans temp to fill your auto/tip trans properly.
