Default Octane Question's???

I just bought a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T Quantro and I filled it up with regular gas and the check engine light came on. Would this normally happen??? and what should I do now?? What gas should go in it??

You can get the codes scanned at autozone or some place and they can tell you what's wrong. You should fill up with 91 or better

Your check engine light came on because you put to low of an octane in the car. It will run like crap. The 1.8T takes 91-93 Octane, aka PREMIUM pal.

Just run it out, it won't kill the car. Or run it to half full and go get 91-93.

I switched from 92 to 93 recently, no real difference.
