Normal oil temp
#2
200 degrees is where I feel comfortable with my around town oil temps on a turbo car. 250 is not a place you want to be hanging around all day. 300 is starting to push a mineral oil pretty hard. But this is preference. Some people like to run their motors warm, as this helps them with their hp goals/potential. I'm pretty conservative.
Racing Porsche 944 turbos with stand alone oil coolers in the Phoenix summer heat would push them to 240-300 pretty easily. We would upgrade the coolers, start using other cooling tactics much past there.
