Noise when letting go of throttle
I have a really weird noise coming from/around the airbox area. I took off the plastic that intakes the air and feeds it to the filter and it became louder. I have to rev the engine by turning the valve on the TB really hard and let it go.
it is also not a very steady sound - it has pulses to it: "tcshh tcshh tcshhh tcshh tcshh" in very quick succession - more distinct pulses the harder i press on the throttle.
Are there any valves around that area that can be rattling or other probable scenarios?
After that i may just take apart the airbox and DIY?
I was trying to capture the sound on a sound byte but the microphone on my blackberry is not sensitive enough.

the diverter valve (DV) is right in that area. so is the wastegate actuator. read the newbie stickies at the top of the forum if you do not know what a DV is. the stock DV often gets brittle and cracks, if the noise is abnormal (ive never heard it described as quick 'pulsing' before) that could be the reason. the valve should only open when you lift your foot off the gas. reving the engine in neutral sometimes can build just enough boost to pulse the valve once, but not in quick succession.
