Noise when braking - Audi A4 1996 1.8 Std
Hi guys/girls.
Just a quick question.
I have this grinding noise coming from front right wheel when I brake.
On inspection it seemed that both inside and outside brake pads looks fine with plenty still to go.
I have a ongoing problem with the right CV joint, but grease every few months seems to keep it going.
What I'm wondering now is this. Is it possible for a properly busted CV joint to make this noise when you brake?
Other things that I have noticed
1. There seems to be a silver powder (metal flakes) on the inside rim of the wheel.
2.For a while now the grease mixed with dirt kinda floats around the arms and axle to that wheel. In other words the CV joint does throw out some grease but this has been going on for years.
Should be nice to hear opinions.
