Default No Low-Beams :: HELP Troubleshoot PLEASE !!

Okay, now I'm pissed! My fiance' wanted me to meet her for dinner at work so I go out to the Audi. Go to turn the headlights on and guess what? No F%^&ing headlights. The marker lights are working fine and if I pull the larger lever on the left the brights will come on. The dash indicates that the lights (low beams) are on but they are not? The smaller lever is in position 2 (up 2 clicks) with no excessive force. All fuses check ok in the fuse box next to the steering wheel on left. Are there any relays or anything that I should look for under hood or in trunk? The guy I got it from swears up and down that he has never had a problem with them and they worked fine last night. Please help! Suggestions, thoughts, comments, please! I don't think it could be possible that both low beams went out at the exact same time.

same issue is happening to me the last 3 times ive gone out to use the car

ive gotten them to work after a few minutes of on/off of it and theyll stay on

seems like it might be a losse connection in the steering tree maybe

Okay, so how far should I bend over to fit a Combi Switch? I assume it's a dealer only item.

ok so this same thing just happened to me, and everyone I talked to including my audi dealer told me it was my combi switch (i declined the repair) had some beers and took it apart. It actually ended up being my ignition switch. 71$ and a over night part later i was back in business. Good luck.

"trackstar" thanks for the info. I'm going to take it all aprart tonight or tomorrow. Any tips you can give me? Where did you order your parts from? Online? I'm going to look at all the wires on the switches and everything while I'm in there. Thanks in advance.

Are you turning the ignition off / on or the headlight lever?

either clean/fix the combi switch like the diy says, or get a new one from ecs or purems, or get a used one from a junk yard.
