New suspension install recommendations San Diego
I'm looking to have some new suspension installed in San Diego..either looking for a complete sport kit or some sport springs and shocks combo. Only looking for about a 1 inch or so drop.. It's a my daily driver and the stock shocks are toast and I'm tired of the 4x4 look. I'm on a budget so looking for something as cheap as possible. recommendations? people you can trust not to run up my bill? Even someone looking for extra cash..
thanks for help..

1" drop will still give a 4x4 look. you should just get coilovers especially if your stock struts can't be used any more. I have vmaxx coilovers and you can make them pretty low or pretty high and I think they sell new for around $600. or you could get a used set from the classifieds or ebay or something for cheap.
installation for coilovers / struts and springs is very easy. if you have a place you're able to do it you should save the money and get a partner and do it yourselves. I had no suspension experience at all really before I did mine and it took about 6-7 hours of easy work to remove and install..

you can get them on ebay or stratmosphere.com. you might want to do some research before buying coils especially vmaxx.. they're not bad but could be much better especially if you want to go low. I think if you don't want to lower it more than 3" it should feel pretty much as comfortable as stock.. the vortex classifieds have coilovers for sale pretty often

Yea...I'm not going low..I'm looking at just lower than an S4. I'm researching the Vmaxx right now to see it they will even go that high or are they natually already too low for me. I have a stock 2.8 with the non sport suspension, so u know how high I'm already sitting. Thanks for the help..

not a great pic but this is the highest I've ever had mine set..

I didn't measure anything but the front was tucking probably like 10mm and the back was tucking like 2mm of tire.. I think the coils were about halfway up or maybe less but it rode quite comfortably. I don't think the highest they can be set at should be too low
