New Snub Mount?
#31
Mike,
Mine is a daily driver...should I go with the Stern or something else? Obviously, you're somewhat biased, but I'm certain you can give me an objective opinion.
I just want the bump to go away, and I'd still like to maintain a smooth ride...and hopefully not have to replace this thing for a good long while...if ever.

Not bais at all since I have used a few different ones on my car and sell more then one brand. I just suggest what is best for the person asking and as a daily driver I would suggest the Stern used with the OEM snub housing.

Installed the snub mount on Saturday. Everything seems better than it was, but I still get a noticeable bump when I let off the gas. It really is better than it was...but the bump is a little more pronounced now, but it's less sloppy than it was before, if that makes any sense. By the way, I did the "raised engine" install and had it done in less than an hour.
I was in stop and go traffic this morning and noticed that I also have a bump when I accelerate...but only if I'm already going at 20-25MPH. Leaving from a red light, it's smooth.
Both the bumps (accelerating from 20+MPH and letting off the gas) only happen at in town speeds. If I'm cruising at interstate speeds, even if I accelerate from say 70-80MPH and let off the gas, I don't feel the bump.

Most likely snub mount but it can be other engine or transmission mounts as well.
