Default new to this site but have a turbo problem

i jsut recently had a new k03 turbo installed in my 2001 a4 and went on a test drive and it overboosted then died, the battery wasnt really charged fully so it seems like a dead battery but what would have caused the over boost????

the boost shot up high fast then the car died as if the clutch was popped. the guy that works on the car said it could be a vac leak or something but i just want to be done with it and have it driveable

You didnt answer the question....how do you know it overboosted? Do you have a boost gauge? Its possible your vac line to your wastegate came off.

If it over boosted then you might have forgot to connect the hoses to the N75 or you connected them backwards. Basically the WG isnot opening and this causes the turbo to spool up as much as it wants.

Maybe he just hit 32psi and blew every hose off between the turbo and TB

Is that really possible. At that PSI it sounds like it. He could of also sprung more vac leaks but since the poster doesnt want to answer how he knows it overboosted and at what PSI how can we help him. Too bad he doesnt have a Vag-Com and he could just look to see what actually happened.
