Hey all,

my girlfriend accidentally smashed my rear window.

However she went and bought me a new piece of glass, my question is

Can i fit the glass into the door without removing much more than the panel or does everything structurally need to come apart???

Its ******* bitter cold right now and im trying to do this quickly

 

If the rear doors are anything like the front, you'll have to remove the door panel (easy) and then you may be able to undo the window clamps and put the new piece in. Otherwise you'll have to unbolt the frame and pull the assembly out, from there you can undo the window clamps and put the new window in.

Removing the frame is not hard, theres 4 torx bolts around the perimeter that come out. Note the location and orientation of the shim if there is one so you get the alignment correct on reinstallation.
