New owner looking for info.
Looking for any basic info for my 96 A4 2.8 5spd.
>It has 94000 original miles on it is there anything I should be aware?
>Looking to get Body kit, Lowering springs, Air intake, and Rims anyone know of any good sites or swap meets?
I'm located in MD
Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Insure the car has had its timing belt and water pump changed otherwise you'll want to do that asap. the kit isn't that expensive to do it yourself but laborwise and if you don't do it I believe you risk potential damage to the motor.
Other common problems are
abs module doesn't work (blinking brake light and abs light stays on)
fuel sending unit dies (gas light will stay on in car)
other people can chime in with more information but I would really ensure the timing belt has been done its pretty standard for audi's/volkswagens in this generation to have done around 70-80k miles.

^^^ this is true. Best bet on timing to be safe is 60-65k. Don't take the prior owner's word for it. If its not documented on paper, assume it hasn't been done. If the tensioner fails, you'll have "valve salad" since these are interference engines.
Other than that, read the FAQ sticky post up top as it has a wealth of info for new owners. These cars aren't terribly difficult to own so long as you're proactive on maintenance and avail yourself of the huge resources of information and experience here on the forum.
