New Motor
I have a 2000 1.8T and i know the motor is gonna go out soon i have been the hell out of it. But i was wondering were would be the best place to get a built motor and i was wondering if you could put a 2.0T motor in there. If any one has done it how did it go cause i would love to do a 2.0 Big turbo

record a sound clip of your knock...honestly...I am guessing that you have a bit of valve chatter...these motors are very well built and do not just go out without a fight....
I would suggest, simply taking better care of your motor...my car has 135k on it and I just installed a ko4 pc-16 setup...honestly, these motors car really take a thrashing...
as far as built motors and 2.0L....look into QED...they'll sell you a nice built motor....besides that there are guys on here and the zine that'll hook you up with some amazing prices on parts...I am not sure where you are, but I would bet there is a decent engine shop in your area that could handle a 2.0L build for you...
I have been thinking about building a motor on the side...the cheapest way to do it is to buy a used block and do just about all the assembly on your own...I was planning opn doing a pretty mild build...basically keeping it a 1.8 and just doing some port/polish and replace all the guts...
