i am veryvery mechanicly inclined, and i know lots about mechanics already, but not much about audis, and turbos which is where i am running into problems ahaha. Just keep reading it keeps funny if you like audis you will '<3 me!! haa so i got this car for 1400 cash and the old owner said it was misfiring because his mechanic said itneeded a coil, hooked up my ebay vagcom and cleared codes and took it for a spin and it got misfire again. i changed coils around new plugs and a new injector.. same problem changed ICM same problem.. thought every hard bc i iknow about cars and i said it must be te timing is off. so i looked at the head and knowticed its been polised and clean so it reently had a head job.. checked marks and it was one tooth off, retiming misfire fixied...

now problems car feels like its slow, and has little or no boost, i unplugged te maf because i know vw/audi run ok without it and it ran better so i know i need tat (found out earlier tday)

but main problem i need help with is this it drives nice and fine but acceleration is still slow, i dont thnk im holding boost or maybe hittin limp.

NO CEL

car seems like it hesitates has no accleration and its heavy passed 3k rpm or anytime if its WOT.
dv sounds like a bov (could be bc intake) or is it cuz its faulty

no cel
doing boost leak test tomarrow will post back results, but any ideas of what it may be? please help

Do you have a boost gauge. What year is the car. Motor?

1700 cash makes me think 96-99 1.8 aeb. Also cause of the icm

Peak boost on a car like that is 9psi and the are slow stock

Does sound like a dead dv and if that's the case your car will seem sluggish. Get a new 710n or look in classifieds for upgraded one

cai is a waste of money. stock intake is really quite good. if you really must do something look up the "swiss cheese mod" (no. really. that is what it is called)

a chip is going to give you the most bang for your buck....probably....maybe not since you still didn't tell us what engine your car has.

the cheapest way to "make acceleration faster" is to make sure that you drive downhill all the time.
