yeah thats why im iffy about it.

a good A4 = $8500
a good S4 = $11000 (6speed, 60-65k miles)

the upgrades that im going to be doing to the A4 will end up 4grand. (12,500)
S4 with Giac, exhaust & forged dv's = 12500.

S4 i can resell at at like 12,000 but the A4 ill resell at 8,000 see my point?

s4 will have ~320 hp
a4 will 245-250hp. wont even beat a stock s4. with the same amount of money.

i pay $380 for insurance doesnt matter what kind of car. i can have a v12 845 bmw or 95 1.6l honda.

mpg will be a lower. idc. i work...

the maintence is hard. but what will i be going? lol. maybe a Tb and wp change in the next 3months.
oil changes
brakes
cv boots (if they go bad) [i'd have to do this on the A4 also)
push rods (if they go bad) [i'd have to do this on the A4 also)
wheel bearings if they go bad
dv easy
snub mount

if i get an S4 or an A4 ill still be doing almost the same labor.

BUT STILL IFFY...

the S4 has more moving parts....I can't imagine having to replace the turbos....It cost me 2k on my A4, so it wouls prolly be 4k on an s4

I have driven both and I would say that all around the S4 is a nicer car, but as far as BofA is concerned....A4 ftmfw!...lol

I can't afford to keep up with an S4, I like my A4 even though it's not the fastest, it still looks good and it feels amazing on the road...

whatever you do make sure you get a manual trans and quattro....if your dad can cover the maintenance on the S4 then go for it....

when I was shopping for a new car, I found 3 low mileage S4's in Texas, they had 80k and were goin for about 12k...

where I live right now a friend bought a 2001 w/55k tiptronic for 20k....so the $ depends on the location for sure

If I wasn't a part time middle school teacher and I pulled some real cash I would def go for an S4....

currewntly if I had 12.5k to spend on a car I would prolly just go for a 2002 B6 5spd Quattro 3.0 and call it a day

alright, well, gl!

yeah thats why im iffy about it.

a good A4 = $8500
a good S4 = $11000 (6speed, 60-65k miles) you will be damn lucky to find one at that mileage and no way at that price. and that right around the mileage of a tb change. ever tried a TB job on a 2.7t? major mula if your not DIY

the upgrades that im going to be doing to the A4 will end up 4grand. (12,500)
S4 with Giac, exhaust & forged dv's = 12500.

S4 i can resell at at like 12,000 but the A4 ill resell at 8,000 see my point?

s4 will have ~320 hp
a4 will 245-250hp. wont even beat a stock s4. with the same amount of money.
putting 4 grand into an a4 will get you way above that. you will walk chipped s4's all day long
i pay $380 for insurance doesnt matter what kind of car. i can have a v12 845 bmw or 95 1.6l honda.
i find that very hard to believe, unless its some kind of work related deal
mpg will be a lower. idc. i work...

the maintence is hard. but what will i be going? lol. maybe a Tb and wp change in the next 3months.

lol you may think so, but ask any audi tech, the s4 is WAY more labor

BUT STILL IFFY...

(i was gunna buy a silver ex/black in/6spd/62k miles/clean title/S4 for 10,200 but i didnt like how it was a 00. not 1.5 or 02)
