NEW FUTURE OWNER OF a AUDI A4

dang thats really low miles...
well if you put after market parts like a chip you are gonna force more boost outta your turbo, a lot more than it was made for so yea eventually it will shorten some of your parts expectant "life span.'' so basically with almost all after market parts you are putting some sort of extra stress on another part of the car...
but thats with any car not just this particular one..
and if you take care of it and do your routine maintenence you shouldnt have many problems, if you do alot of the labor work yourself you will save hundreds of dollars, than if you take it to a shop or dealership...

Higher mile cars are more likely to get vacuum leaks w/ higher boost but generally a chip will only shorten the turbo's life and show little difference to the engine life. Like others have said I would really go for a quattro. The fwd is just another car and removes the fun factor from it. 20 psi is a rather aggressive tune for a chip but it can be run at it just fine. Your little tiny turbo doesn't do much at the higher engine rpm's though lol. The car's just have a rather high maintinance suspension setup and timing belts are very important but if you maintain it well they don't fall apart like say a 98 3 series BMW. They are very solid cars.

o ic well this audi a4 fwd im getting a deal for $7000 is that good? iv also heard teh chips is bad . Im trying for a boost control and fuel , hmm iv heard its high maintance . so whats the difference between quattro and 1.8t FWD

The difference between quattro and FWD is well for starters all wheel driver vs front wheel drive (not saying you didn't know that) Also though where quattro has fully independent suspension the FWD model has a I beam rear suspension which is an extremely old design and is not very good for handling. Also even a quattro suffers from understeer under hard cornering and it can divert up to 70% of the torque to the rear. Just imagine how much understeer you get when your only FWD and its 100% of the torque to the front all the time.
Again though if your worried about maintenance then not the car for you they are high maintenance when you compare them to a Honda, Toyota, or Nissan. There not as bad as some BMW's, Jag's, or certain model Mercedes.
If your just looking for a good mpg luxury daily driver then this car would be great and the miles are low and the price is manageable. If your looking to have a fast car not really the right car lol although w/ some money it can be a fast car but then its FWD so it wont handle as well and you will have problems putting the power to the ground. At those miles though you could put a chip in upgrade the diverter valve and I doubt it would have any problems and should get you just over 200 chp.
