New feature for the Forums

OK peeps... Starting Friday(-ish), we get to experience a New Feature here in the forums. Experience ranking will give us a means to evaluate how serious to take any other forum member (hint: Jazz is BEST!), or how ne0bly to treat them!!!

OK, seriously, go HERE and preview this new feature.

If you have any criticisms, constructive, or otherwise, feel free to vent, to me, via PM.

~Jazz

So it's a fully automated ranking based mainly on post count (which implies having history and "time served" on AF. That's cool. Does the system allow for additional methods of input, such as feedback from other members based on technical know-how, sales experiences, etc? Or is it meant as just a basic way to quickly get a feel for another member, kind of like the mod stages for cars (stage1, 2, 3, etc)?

There are lots of ways to "earn" experience points... Participation in the forum, longevity, group memberships, for instance.

In a general sense, it is an overly simplistic way to gauge another member. But, realistically, how much of a doof you are or are not won't be changed by how much you do or don't participate in/with AF.

Makes sense. Cool idea - hopefully it'll pay off. It'd potentially keep people from taking Phil's advice too seriously if he comes back

So you're saying Nick is screwed if he ever offers tech advice?

He did dumb stuff like ask for advice, and then berate those that advised him.
