My thought too, but it sounds like he's down the road on this fix.

 

I would agree with you both, however I have not been able to find a used engine anywhere near me. All the parts, and machine work is going to cost around $800. I'm assembling it myself (with some experienced audi help). I will post some pics of the rebuild. Its a lot of work and a major PITA but it will run like a new car when its all said and done
