Lol good point. I thought hiwords was saying to get the rings from the shop and figured they may or may not sell them to me without them installing them, but I'm on the same page now, going to them to get the right sizing isn't a half bad idea at all. I was just gonna pull a wheel and use my friend's vernier caliper to get the bore diameter, but a shop might have a more accurate method? Or is that essentially all they'd do too?

well there aren't too many hub sizes so i think you're friend's vernier caliper should work unless it's off by 10mm or something lol. if you find out your rings are 66.56 OD, i have a set of 4 all aluminum that will work for you. pm me for AF price ; )

Have you taken the car up to a reasonable speed yet? The vibration isn't very noticeable til about 45-50 mph and gets worse from there up. There is the possibility that your wheels came with the right or very near right bore making them not have the problem but since the rings are on order anyway it wouldn't hurt to put them on just in case.

Alrighty, opinions needed here.

I pulled one of the wheels off and measured the bore; my measurement came out to be 69.85mm (which quite explains the vibes seeing as stock is 57.1mm) and when I looked on ECS, 69.85 was an option for rings, but in an attempt to possibly save myself paying $10 on shipping for a $10 purchase, I decided to poke around local shops for the rings. When I checked with Discount tire, they said 69.85 didn't exist and even showed me on their computer the 3 different ring manufacturers and all of them jumped from 67.xx to 72.56, no 69.85. So they called up tirerack and asked them what the size should be for my wheels and the dude said 72.56 was *most common* for that style.

So the opinion I seek is if it is more likely that the tirerack guy is correct and my measurement was off, or if I measured it correctly and it just so happens that only ECS carries a 69.85 ring? I'm having a hard time believing my measurement was a full 2mm off, especially using a well calibrated vernier caliper tool to take the measurement. I mean, if my measurement was like, 71.6 or something, I'd be a little more convinced that 72.56 is what it should be, but a full 2mm+ is a pretty significant difference IMO. I'm going to pull a wheel again sometime this week and try measuring again by another method to make sure, but I just thought I'd check with you guys as well to check how likely it would be that only 1 of 4 ring manufacturers would have the size I measured.

Oh, also, the guy at discount told me it was likely that these wheels have a conical seat and since I'm using factory ball seat lugs that that could be contributing to the vibration as well, is this true?
