Need some help diagnosing

Actually,
Just recently it has been having a tough time starting up... And it's on cold starts it takes a while... But this just started in the last 200> miles....
I just found in the other thread to try cycling the key a few times without starting it up... And it started a lot quicker...
So what does that mean?
Also,
When I went in, he told me my right rear wheel bearing is shot... And quoted me like 600 bucks, too much?

...or it may not even be a fuel issue and just happened to start faster by doing that

it means exactly what the other thread said it meant. it made your fuel pump start pumping fuel before the engine was turned on. possibly the fuel filter is semi clogged, or your fuel pressure regulator isnt working as it should, or your fuel pump is on the way out and not moving fuel fast enough at startup, or the fuel pump pickup is full of crap.

$600 for a wheel bearing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry if this comes off strong, but tell that guy to go eat some nutty liquid sh**! No way! No freaking way! $150 max at a local trusted mechanic. The stealership won't even charge that much.
I agree, with the fueling problem. It sounds like the fuel pump is not pressurizing when the key is turned on. Start simple. Fuel pump relay. Maybe find a good "German" mechanic to help you diagnose your fuel system problems.

Rear Wheel Bearing
Yes too much. I bought my inner bearing, outer bearing, and seal for something like $35 from Autozone and paid an ex-Audi Tech to replace it in his garage for $75. I would assume that if I bought those parts from the dealer it would cost at a minimum $100 and labor for one hour $150 so $250 total. Was he talking about doing both rear bearings?

Pete: Is that a full kit inner bearing, outer bearing, and new seal for $53 or is that just one bearing? Just want to make sure you have everything you'll need to get it done right.

That's the thing I bought... Did I get the right thing?
