Need some help
Hey guys,
Ok so I have a 1999.5 a4 1.8t its got APR stage 1, K04, 2.5"Milltek but I recently just lost almost all power. I was boosting between 10-18psi before and now it barely hits 5psi. I figured it has a boost leak and I eventually discovered a hose that goes into the engine on under the exhaust manifold and this hose is connnected to the crankcase ventilation tube. Anyways I replaced this hose and still my problem is the same where I have next to no boost. I do have an exhaust leak right where the cat and turbo meet but would that exhaust leak cause me to loose that much boost? I am just wondering what my problem could be, I would not think its the turbo seeing how I just bought it in April and I do get some boost so that tells me the turbo is working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Check and make sure that there are no more vacuum leaks. You can build a boost leak tester for a couple bucks http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...st-leak-tester Also, check to see if you are in limp mode. Limp mode will limit your boost level to the 4-5psi range. Scan your car and see what it tells you.

APR does not make a K04 program for the b5s, you are in limp mode possibly caused by having the wrong program with the K04. Have someone VAG your car and clear all codes. you will have full boost back. I also suggest getting the proper tune for your K04 or you will be in limp mode alot more.

I think he means he's got APR k03 chip w/k04 - which shouldn't be a problem. But it's def. limp mode. When my MAF went bad it just put me in limp mode w/no other symptoms. A day later the CEL came on w/lean code.

It shouldn't flow so much more than the ecu can compensate for. There are always fluctuations in what the ecu requests compared to what the manifold actually sees. People have done it before without issues, and also he's 99.5 so he doesn't have a map sensor. The n75 is what does the requesting via the ecu, the map does the tatle tailing - from what I know. But he should scan the ecu for faults before we get too crazy.

Ok guys so to clarify yes I have a APR stage 1 tune with a K04 turbo (not K04 file) I scanned it today at work at it only found one code P1602 which is power supply (B+) Terminal 30 low voltage so I cleared it but still I have next to no boost, like maybe 5psi if im lucky. How can I tell if my N75 is bad or could it be my DV? I have 710N from the TT as my DV
