Need selling advice for 99.5 A4 1.8T
#13
Good responses
Thanks for the info so far. Here are some details about the A4. Appreciate all feedback, especially tips on how to sell it. Was thinking in the ballpark of $4.5-5K
Alas, it's not a Quattro. No sunroof. No trip computer. No chip or other mods.
1.8T FWD Manual
Factory sport package (suspension, rims and steering wheel were the main components)
Light Silver Metallic w/ Black cloth interior
Audi concert with factory 6-disc changer
All the stuff it originally came with (owner manual, floor mats, cargo net, window sticker, etc)
Purchased at Hoehn Audi, Carlsbad, CA
Serviced at Metro Audi (now Audi of Escondido) while under warranty, and at an Independent Audi specialist (Lusti Motors) ever since.
Manufactured in March 1999, took delivery in May 1999.
Serviced recently:
ABS Controller 1 year ago
New front brakes/rotors 2 years ago (about 8K miles)
Front right CV boot 3 years ago
Pirelli tires about 3 years ago (first replacement since original Dunlops)
New exhaust 1 year ago
New rear bumper 1 year ago (someone got a little too close in stop and go freeway traffic a year ago and pierced it - it's listed as an accident because the new bumper was over $1K, but no frame damage and no other bodywork required, all shown on the repair bill)
Might need service soon:
Front left CV boot
Rear brakes
Rack and pinion steering - Power steering fluid was low on last service (earlier this year), but was topped up and has never been a problem.
It's had an easy life! 12 mile round trip commute for 5 years, and 4 mile round trip commute for the last 6, hence the low mileage. Has never left California.
Will try and get some pictures online this week.
Thanks,
Steve

The A6 is a 2007. It was a lease return that we got at an Audi of America auction. Very happy with it. In short, here are the specs:
2007 A6 3.2 Quattro, Technology package, Convenience Package, Audi Care. 20K miles. It's got navigation, push button start, paddle shifters, 6 speed auto.
I met a guy who attends the auctions twice a month in CA, and he was great to work with. He takes your order (year, model, equipment) and goes to each auction and tells you when there are some good cars coming up. Other than when I bought the A4 new, this was the best car buying experience I have had. I'd recommend him to anyone. His website is www.rcmotorcars.com.
