lol @ this thread.
op maybe you could get a new n75 valve? it would increase your boost by like 2-3psi which would be a pretty good change for the cost. ecs has a race valve on sale for $75 I think, I might pick one up..

i have a n75j race valve i need to sell mine though. if i stick it on ill spike a little faster but after that itll throw my car into limp and wont boost worth a crap. i have no clue why it does this maybe the ecu is seeing an over boost code or somthing it beats me even though im stage 2 chipped. but im a 01 1.8t so maybe its just my car being a tard.

Thanks for the help guys, from what has been told to me and explained through various threads on other forums the only real torque upgrades i can do is Lighter wheels with suspension and big turbo,

would the lighter wheels and suspension give a nice torque gain? or should i just stick to saving and get a k04 or big turbo upgrade?

And a quick question about the k04, my car has 120,000 miles on it, to be honest i truly baby it, never go past 3 thousand rpms unless im throwin down with someone off the line. Would getting that turbo upgrade tear the remaining life of my engine apart or would it not make much of a difference since i do baby my car not using much boost unless i have to.

I don't see the point in doing a k04 in a 2001 a4.

LMAO...dis n dat...anyway, I felt a little bit more on the lower end when I got my FMIC with my k03s/k04 hybrid, and I know that when I go BT that ill feel it so much more then. I don't think you are going to have any regrets with going BT and getting more HP and TQ.

The 2001 cars tend to have trouble with running the k04's. they do work but the tuning for some reason tends to not run that amazingly.

Really your only option is a big turbo. lighter wheels would only reduce your torque loss to the ground but you wouldnt hardly notice a difference. suspension would only make it feel like your car responds quicker, but it doesnt add power or reduce power loss.

Nothing you do will be worth the money without a bigger turbo, because that tiny turbo is really the power choke point on these cars. if you get a FMIC, you would have cooler intake air, but you would also boost a tiny lower because with more lag.

suspension will make the car more responsive and make it feel way faster
mounts will decrease the dt loss and put more power to the ground
lighter wheels will help a little, they're more for handling than power though.
