Default need help with TB alignment

hi guys i performed a ecu reset on my 1999.5 a4 quattro not knowing that the TB will reset it self, i did it so it will get out of limp mode but now im further in the ditch, so im asking you guys for your help to find out how to properly align the tb i tried 2 different steps.

1. step one turn the key to the on position with out starting the car
2. hold the gas pedal all the way to the floor and hold it there for 5 second
3. after 5 seconds turn the key to the off position and leave it there for 2 minutes

this did not work for me

second type of procedure

1. step one turn the key to the on position with out starting the car
2. leave it there for 2 minutes
3. after the 2 minutes turn the key to the off position and turn it back on

also did not work for me

please guys help

I've heard of the second method working sometimes but they waited longer than that, although I also heard this doesn't work with non-DBW cars. I just had to go through this with my '99.5 too, I used vagcom and it was really easy and took no more than a minute.
