Unhappy

^--- "i go to start the car and it barely runs. it idles at like 300 rpm and wont go past 1200rpm, it just cuts off. with a little foot pumping i can get the revs up but they wont stay. what the hell happened? i dont have a vag com yet so i cant read any codes. please help me out."

just like from OP except idle is like 500-600rpm and cut out is ~1500rpm. I can rev and pump the gas to keep it higher rpm, but it is not drivable. My vag-com should be here within a week. I actually ordered it before all this BS happened... lucky or ironic?
btw my 1.8t was filthy with sludge.

I have already pulled and cleaned the MAF and the TPS. I also acted like a bit of a retarded monkey when I was seafoaming... possibly used too much and pretty sure I overboosted during the "fun" smokey part (if that is even possible).

I should be able to post codes soon.

I am also not trying to steal the thread, but it is similar issue i believe. thanks everyone

<CEL stays on constant, and I can't find any hoses that have come loose, but maybe I am not looking everywhere possible>

Thumbs up Update!

I only had one code P1545 = Manufacturer controlled vehicle speed, idle control, and aux. inputs.
see also,
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/17953/P1545/005445

since I already cleaned my throttle body and sensors I should be good to go. I have yet to actually start or drive the car, since I have taken this down time to replace the stock vac. hoses with fancy silicone, and am not quite finished do to the inclement weather.

I guess this is another example of don't to stupid stuff to your, or at least not with out a vag-com!
btw those one-time-use hose clamps really suck to remove.

of course, if you know any of this to be incorrect... pls say so. Thanks!
