Need help asap?!?!?! Please.....
Hi I'm currently working on replacing my rear wheel hub bearings however i ran into some problem. I cant seem to get the nut off (circled red on image). That's not the actual picture but that's the same exact thing i have a problem about. I got the nut to rotate all the way to the end however it stops right there and starts rotating the whole screw with it. Also same thing on the other side. Do i hold the screw by a vise grip and get the nut off? There's no head so i cant counter it with a wrench. I really believe I'm doing something wrong so please enlighten me.... Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

propane torch and vise grip did work however i think i ruined the nut, melted the rubber. Now only worry is if i put a new nut back on how do i tighten it without turning the whole thing with it. I can only tighten as far as the vise grip can fit in between. Any thoughts? Thanks
