Default Need help ASAP

Please bear with me since im a noob to audi's, but heres the story. i just bought a 99 a4 with the 1.8L quatro and auto trans. the gas gauge has never worked-always reads empty, it idles rough and kinda feels down on power to me. now driving after one day it trows a CEL, so i had autozone scan it codes are: P0116, P0131, P1300. i would greatly appreaciate any answers on what to today since tomorrow i would like to drive it back to my parents 300mi away but i do have another vehicle to take so no big problem. today i will change the plugs and the ECT sensor and the gas gauge problem will be fixed by the dealer i bought it from come Dec. 1 Thanks for any help

look up the codes here http://www.bentleypublishers.com/tec....dtc.table.htm looks like you have a misfire due to low fuel and a bad O2 sensor

Fuel sending unit failure is common. 99% of the time it is a broken wire on the sender. Check out www.audidiy.com and the tech area of www.audiworld.com (from the homepage it's resources/tech). One or both has a tech procedure on how to repair it - very easy to do, about 25 minutes' work, and you'll be back in business. I've done it and several guys I know have done it and it seems to do the trick every time. Oh, and if you don't have a soldering gun, you can crimp butt connectors on each end of the break and crimp a jumper on there and fix it that way (that's what I did).
