Default Need to get a clutch before its too late...

Well my clutch has 131000 miles on it and it slips if im in gear and put the petal to the ground. Its not too bad right now and only goes up about 100 rpm's unless its cold but I don't want it to leave me stranded somewhere. So I want to take care of it soon but I am not sure what I should do. Do I want to drop an OEM clutch in? It's just a 2.8 and I dont see me having 4k to supercharge it anywhere in the next 2 years lol so I don't need a clutch for high hp but it might not hurt to have one that can handle almost 300hp. If I do go with a more aggressive aftermarket one is there one I can put in without sacrificing driveability? My last car had a clutch with the transmission when I got it and the thing was WAY TOO MUCH. I believe that was a 4 puck clutch though and I am obviously not going for anything close to that. Also I was wondering about the flywheel. I don't think there is anyone around here that can resurface dual mass flywheel's. You can put normal flywheels on right? How noticeable will it be? Should I try to get it resurfaced or may it be too far gone at these miles if the previous driver was hard on it (I don't know if they were but maybe not since it lasted this long). HELP ME!!! I'll consider any recommendations I will be installing it myself so labor is not an issue but I will only have about $600 to work with and I need to deal with my brakes very soon too. Is this enough? Do I need to keep saving? I have a lot of questions....

Most guys on here love Southbend, you'll want a stage 2 or stage 3 kit sounds like. as far as the flywheel goes, if you go light weight your daily drivability will be more of a hassle. I would have someone look at your flywheel to see if it can be resurfaced and if so I would def. do that.

southbend stage 2 would be good. lwfw doesn't really affect driveability, but your stock one might still be good

From me and if you buy a SB clutch from me I can line up to have Southbend resurface your stock flywheel at no charge. For that free resurfacing of your flywheel you will just have to pay for shipping to SB and back to you, so expect that to be around $50 if your in the 48 states. I also offer free shipping on the clutch kits in the 48 states.

South bend offers stage 1 - 3 for the 2.8.

stage 1 = $355
stage 2 = $415
stage 3 = $470

I dont have the 2.8 clutch kits on our site, but if your interested please feel free to PM or Email me directly.

All of our SB kits are modified by SB for more clamping pressure at no extra charge, these are not the standard SB kits.

Damn you got me sold! Well as long as its not going to be obvious that its a higher performance clutch while driving (besides the fact of it not slipping under load lol)

How exactly can you modify a clutch for more clamping pressure after the friction material, etc. has been set/already made?
Or does this modification just make the the pressure plate fingers more tough?

Hey I know I'm tossing out a kinda noob question but that's my thing;

What's being changed in a Stage 1,2,3 clutch. How are they diff?

I drive my 2.8 everyday, if I put a lwfw and stuff in there how is that going to change the ride?
