Default need diagnostics help

I have a A4 Avant 1.8T Quattro 5-speed.

When i jump in my car to leave as soon as i press the gas pedal to accelerate it starts to misfire very badly and shuts off. Then it will not start up for like 5-10 minutes. Between those 5-10 minutes if i crank the engine it sounds like there is no fuel and just cranks. After i get it started it runs very rough and continues to misfire. Of course the CEL light flashes. After a few minutes it warms up and then runs completely fine and i can drive it normally. I get codes for random misfire on all 4 cylinders.

Now here is the kicker, if i turn my car on and let it idle for a few minutes to warm up a little bit none of the above happens at all and the car runs perfect everyday.

Is there anything anyone can suggest? Is there some sort of open loop sensor that could be affected by temperature?

Default Rough start...

You need a coolant temp sensor. This tells the computer the engine temp and adds fuel when cold. About $30.00 for the part at the dealer, be sure to ask for the o-ring and retaining clip that can be fragile. Easily changed by the do-it yourselfer.

my temp gauge works fine, but i will change that because it makes sense. I was thinking MAF because it misfires when cold only when i try to accelerate.
