and i can't seem to get the stupid thing one i tryed to install it like the atp manifold

http://www.atpturbo.com/root/help/pd...tock_Loc_1.pdf

How do you expect to get help if you don't describe exactly what is giving you trouble? Stuck nuts, tool not able to reach the nuts(....) etc.

well one of 2 things happen
1 is the 3 bolts that bolt the manifold to the turbo will not go in once i bolt the manifold to the motor (since they are longer) and i have tried to bolt the bolts in before i slide the manifold in but the one closest to the motor will not go up enough to clear the mount for the heat sheild and oil line to turbo.

2 is that i can't get the bolts on the manifold tight enough to suck in the manifold enough to get any of the manifold to turbo bolts to line up.

I emailed kinetic and they said there is some ridge the is there but should be so i got to file it off but i am not sure which one or were it is i will have to call them in the morning when i get off work.

i know some of us on here have the atp manifold and this one looks just the same so i thought some one on here would have some advice on installing this thing

If it's anything like installing the ATP manifold, then I feel your pain. If you havent losened the nuts that bolt the turbo to the cat, then you should do that to give some slack/working room to get the turbo/manifold bolts on. You should replace the turbo/cat gasket too when doing that.

i thought about doing that but didn't. I want to find out what ridge kinetic is talking about or i might just say hell with it and get the 034 motorsports one and sell or return this one and take the loss, but i really would just like to get this one on

I can almost guarantee that you won't get it on without losening/unbolting the turbo from the cat. It's one thing to get it off without doing this, but it's another to get it back on without doing this. I've done it myself, and can't imagine doing it any other way. Save yourself the headache and pick up a turbo/cat gasket and unbolt the SOB.

Yeah there is a bracket that attaches the turbo to the chassis. It's a PITA to undo as well!!!

i finally got it in with the advice from onepoint8tee Thanks!!!
i have not put it all complettly back together yet but i will finsh it in the morning. and no one around town had a turbo to cat gasket so im going to have to order one and put it one when it gets here.
the ridge that kinetic is talking about it the 3 ridges on the top they need to be ground down to allow it to fit right i guess this is a new issue and they are taking care of it.
