You dont need 'special' tools, really... The main thing to remember is to bolt the tranny back on STRAIGHT! Get it lined up and use the bolts in a cross-pattern to slowly and evenly draw the tranny tight.

And.. good luck with that clutch! Hope you leg doesnt hurt too bad after driving home from work

After much time trying to save up $$$ My clutch came in!!! I've pretty much psyched myself out of doing it myself. I'm trying to talk a buddy into helping me if I can't I'm just going to send it to a shop. I really don't want to but with lack of time and doing it myself I just feel overwhelmed even with my pep talks ;-) So we will see what happens!

lil' update- my car hates me!

I got to like step 3 of the clutch job, the point where you have to jack the car up. So I was... Had the passenger side up on the jack stand and was lifting the driver side when my jack gave way... You can see in the pic below the jack ending up bending to the right... the car fell and the weight shift made it fall of the jack stand. Then do to the weight and my soft springs and the height of the fall my oil pan cracked... >.< So I gave the hell up. She's going to a shop to get fixed...

We tried driving the car up on the truck and the clutch is so far gone we couldnt even get it half way on!

I'm still messing with wheels and tires... Anyone know a place that will let you "try" a wheel and tire fitment?

ouch!!!

I echo the sentiment that I'm glad you weren't hurt.

Good luck with the repairs. Hope the shop doesn't "rape" you too hard.
