Yeah, try wet sanding it first. If the scratches are still there, you can always sand the whole thing off (I'm pretty sure you'll get the polish look underneath the current paint) and clear coat it after.

Well I never looked back here yesterday so where is what we did! I tried sanding the whole face took FOREVER! so I decided to just strip it! Had to be careful to keep it off the gun metal paint.
Blistering the clearcoat.

Which worked but still left the "lightning bolts". So I hit it with some 320 which removed them in no time. Then I took 600 to replace the pattern which was a huge PITA. I have all wheels stripped but only one is about 90% done. I'm going back tonight to finish them and will get a pic since the sanding makes the finish look a TON different!

Alright well the wheels are all stripped and sanded, now just adding the lines back to it so it looks clean. Here is the 1st wheel done. Rest will be done tonight and all will get Clearcoat tomorrow. Oh and new rubber!
