Thats like jumping out of the frying pan and into the fryer, A8's will eat you alive in repairs.

The trans is $12,000 for a remanufactured unit for starters, and you won't find anyone to re-build it for you without searching far and wide. The price of parts is rediculous, and the labor to do anything is 2X that of the A4. When i mean its bulletproof, i mean it can run 500,000 miles, given that you put in the very expensive maintenance.
A8 owners are usually pretty stacked in the money department, if not they sell them. Thats why you see a bunch with blown transmissions for sale.

oh hahaha... well nevermind... well im god then lol... but i think i found my new whip.. that is if she holds it for me

i talked to her and the car drives fine, it was driven about an hour from the auction site to their house, so i figure replace a door, some glass and a few things here and there and im golden... then turn around and sell it for twice maybe 3x what i paid for it lol

Im assuming you were joking but....First off that price is ridiculous, I wouldn't pay a third what they're asking. Second, that's not going to be easy to fix. The doors and glass are the least of its problems. The center pillar looks heavily damaged, the rockers look destroyed, the rear quarter panel is damaged and one of the tires looks blown....not to mention the body doesn't even look straight. Sometime I wonder why insurance companies declare a given car a total loss but this one is a no brainier.
