my new project *stereo build-up*

Try using a hair dryer when you wrap the drastic corners. I did that in my Z when I did the sub enclosure and false floor (I wrapped with black leather). The heat is not high enough to damage the material but it makes it more pliable. Just keep stretching it and bunching it on the backside and it should come out smoothly.

after test fitting a few of the pieces, i didn't like the way the false floor sat, so i ran to home depot this morning and got another piece of wood to cut, which i can cut to fit better now that i have a better idea. the new piece is also 1/4 inch rather than 1/2 inch so that will reduce the weight a small amount as well.

so i've finished the fabrication and wrapping all of the panels in suede. overall i'm very happy with the outcome. it turned out exactly how i wanted. all i have left to do is paint under the amplifier, white; cover the amp in plexi; and wire the entire system...oh and put the subs in

time/money basically.
i have a show this weekend and i have to prep the car for it. after that i can begin wiring. i'd rather take my time on it, as i have some lighting to wire up as well, rather than rush through it and do a half-assed job

I wish I could have a setup like this for the sound and the engine performance.
Guess it would partly require having an S4 as well, but I can still dream haha.
None the less, a4_2.8tuner, nice work with the setup you contrived. My plan for my 2.8 trunk audio when I get the money is to tuck the woofers into the little niches just behind where the tail lights are. Saw a guy who had done it that way and the idea of keeping the trunk space is quite appealing.
