Today I finished up almost all the details on my dice ipod adapter installation. The product is in, working, and in place.

My goals for the install were

- out of sight, but easy to access for specific song selection and removing to update music
- as few modifications as possible to the car

I still plan to get a case for the ipod and add some velcro on the back side to keep it in place inside the glovebox.

Pic 1 just shows an overview of the interior (no changes)
Pic 2 shows the iPod in the box and the small hole (about 3/8) that the cord runs out of
Pic 3 shows the passenger footwell, if you look closely you can see the blue plug going into the dice unit

nice, where did you get this? does it go in place of the cd change??

 

It replaces the CD changer (simply unplug it and plug in the dice unit). It was a gift and they ordered it through Crutchfield. I believe you can find it cheaper elsewhere, Crutchfield includes the special radio removal keys though.
