My car is on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere
My car broke down tonight on the way home from work. I drive from Vail, Co to Leadville, Co. It is HWY 24 37 miles starting at 8150 ending up at 10,200 in elevation. 2 mountain passes and no cell service at all. I have know idea what is going on. I down shifted to 4th to slow down for a turn. I never hit gas while in 4th. Up shifted to 5th and when I pressed the gas I started slowing down. I down shifted to 4th and still no power. I pulled over to a stop and tried to start from 1st. Nothing. I started rolling backwards and pulled the e brake. The brakes don't work. I tried restarting the car and It would not start. Volts were fine but in made no attempt to crank over. The "push clutch peddle to start" was anouciated on the display. I just had my clutch replace 16 days ago. A state trooper came buy after about 5 min of trouble shooting and I had to take a ride home. HELP

Hmm, that gives me an interesting thought. Maybe your FPR is shot or something, and not providing enough juice to give power, because from sound of it you were still running by the time you pulled over. And then wouldn't start after. So maybe that could be it?

Any lights? MIL? Battery voltage?
Mechanically, you could have a bad clutch slave, but that wouldn't cause the engine to not crank. It sounds like something more like a bad alternator or battery.
If you ran out of gas or had a fuel delivery issue, you'd still be able to crank the engine over... it just wouldn't catch.
