My amazing MPG!
I went away this weekend and filled up before I left with 91. I just got back from my trip that was mostly highway driving but I did hit a ton of traffic on the way home. I went a little over 350miles and I am between a quarter tank and a half tank!! I just replaced the ECU so my car is no longer chipped, but I'm so happy with the mpg my car is getting. I will not be chipping it or doing any other performance things.. anyone else getting close to this? I'm pretty sure my tank holds like 16gals right?and if I make it to 500miles I'll be over 30mpg

Yeah I have two ECUs and I plan on putting the stock one in for my upcoming road trip. I'm not quite to the point where I don't want to be chipped though... I have been driving a company van with a Shell gas card during the week though.

I always heard u got better gas mileage chipped just as long as u didnt drive hard (but very few people do cause its more fun to drive) so i was thinking of getting chipped but i guess you guys have done better without a chip so i might hold off or have them put stock and nonstock programs on the chip...

It's way too tempting to put the pedal down chipped.
Well since I'm going to do a trip anyway I'll do my first tank chipped and second not and see what I get.

RE: My amazing MPG!
I'm chipped and average 24 mpg combined consistently. I drove from Bridgeport, CT to Easton, MD and back, making some tourist cruising in Baltimore on the way back. I averaged 29.0 mpg combined through my weekend trip. The car was loaded with 3 people (including me), 3 days of clothes and crap for all three people, laptops, cameras, my guitar, and a small amplifier. I cruise b/w 65-70 mph and have the joy of driving I-95 through Jersey and NYC, which consists of a lot of traffic, quick down-shifts, and friggen tolls. I can't complain. It might have been better if I didn't race out of every toll booth.

i was reading the older MPG post on here a while back before i got my car.. first tank of 91/octane i went 355 miles on mostly a full tank.. it was a little above E when i refilled it, and did the math and its about 23mpg.. i live on the top of a mountain and the city is at the bottom.. and this was all city driving so.. didnt do too shabby right?
