Default My 1st DIY - Forge007 BPV. But something's wrong!! Help Please

whats up guys. i did my first diy yesterday with my friend's help. it took me 4 hours to install forge007 bpv. but i felt good afterwards haha

right after the installation, i started my car and there was a high-pitched noise. i turned it off and restarted, and there it was again. so my friend and i waited for a while till we restart it once more, and the noise was gone. so i thought it wasn't a big deal.

well today, i started my car to go get some food and there was the same high pitched noise once again. it lasted for about .5 - 1 min and went away.

anybody know what could be wrong with it?

the only thing that i did wrong during the installation was that i replaced a wrong valve at first (i don't know what it is but it kinda looks like a bpv. only with no vacume hose connected to it. and the 2 tubes connected to it was a little smaller too.) and realized that it wasn't the right one so i put it back. and then finally replaced the right one.

oh and there is a white smoke coming out from my exhaust and i think it is steam because i took my car to a carwash and i'm guessing water went into my exhaust. has anyone had this same problem??

thanks guys

i'm pretty sure i plugged it in the right holes. but not 100% positive. DIY thread said it didn't really matter so i thought it wasn't a big deal. do you think the noise is from reverse-plugging the bpv?

doubt it. you should be able to run it either way with no problems. but it wouldn't hurt to try.

im betting you tried replacing the pcv valve on the TIP. its where the red line is in this pic

and your not the first person. did you try starting the car with it connected like this?

im still amazed people can **** this up

put your pcv valve back in place
now get under the car, and take out the other valve below
remove the two clamps and the vacuum line, and install forge the same way the stock one came out
20 minutes tops, with a cigarette break

haha thanks dude gosh people if your gonna bang on me at least read my thread and do it. and you are right i replaced pcv first but i realized that it was a wrong one. so i put it back and replaced the actual bpv.

i wonder if my vacume hose is not connected tight enough and causing the high pitch noise...

do you think that might be it?

loose connection could definitely make the noise. you gotta really get that vac line over the nipple tight. does it only make the sound at idle, or while driving? does it make any noise while shifting?

it makes that noise for like 30 sec - 1 min as soon as i turn on the car. (it's only if my car has been off for a long time. usually start of the day. after that, it doesn't really make the noise even when i start the car throughout the day) it doesn't matter if the car is idle or moving. it just stays for a little bit. then the sound kinda fades away. and i'll be driving for 5 minutes or so, and the sound kinda comes back for like 10 sec. then it goes away again. no special noise while shifting.. i feel like i'm hearing a very small high pitched noise when my turbo spools up but that might just be the sound of the turbo.
